Welcome to Modern Dot Boutique. Thank you for browsing around, shopping, and supporting my small business. I'm Ashley Hollister - Wife, Mom of three kids, Nurse Practitioner by trade, and self proclaimed shopaholic. (I'm sure my husband would agree with that).

Modern Dot came to be when I started boutique and small shopping a few years ago. I noticed items were vey bright colors, had lots of patterns, and didn't fit all body types. I'm the type of woman where I drive my 3 kids around to different schools, cheer practices, tee ball practice, go grocery shopping, have wine nights with the girls, and like to go out on date nights. I wanted items that could be versatile, comfortable, stylish, and affordable. I began doing my research on clothing, wholesalers, some made in the USA items, and searched high and low for the perfect pieces I would wear or have in a shop of my own. In 2021 a close friend of mine then said "Why don't you just open up your own?!" It was then that Modern Dot was born. The name is unique but a little special. Dot is my Grandmothers nickname, and modern is the adjective I'd like to use to describe my own style. 

In 2021 I had an online shop, did pop-ups at local farmers markets, businesses, and even incorporated shopping into at home wine tastings. However, my life became overwhelmingly busy and I made the decision to close down in 2022. 

Now, mid 2023 I've gotten the itch again. I've found amazing wholesalers, affordable and comfortable clothing from retailers, and plan to curate the best possible items for Modern Dot Boutique to fit the everyday lifestyle for busy Moms, students, and beyond. I hope you get excited shopping here as I do hand picking out the items.
